The SUUSA Executive Council discussed upcoming Student Activity Board events and chose Tina Swadley as leader of the week at Wednesday’s meeting.

Academic Vice President Megan Lloyd discussed the need to help inform students about voting on the constitutional changes that are currently under vote.

Lloyd also informed the council that there were several new election bylaws being passed in the Senate.

The T-Bird Award Nominations are done and were a “big success” said Amy Shupe. She said there are at least five nominations in each of the categories. On March 30, the five finalists, one from each group, will be interviewed.

StAB also announced that on Feb. 12 in the Living Room, they will be having a party to watch the olympic opening ceremonies.

The Executive Council decided the leader of the week was Sen. Tina Swadley, Beverly Taylor Sorenson College of Education & Human Development.

SUUSA President Cody Alderson said Swadley has done exceptional work in advocating for her college and also for students across campus.

Swadley worked closely with the library staff and Student Fee Review Committee to help them request much-needed funding.

Most recently, Tina has been working with her fellow education senator to enhance the role of department representatives within her college.
